Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Fibo. Can't find what you're looking for?
What is planning poker?+
Planning poker (also called Scrum poker) is an agile estimation technique where team members independently vote on the effort required for a user story using numbered cards — typically the Fibonacci sequence. By voting simultaneously, it prevents anchoring bias and encourages healthy discussion, leading to more accurate and team-aligned estimates.
Is Fibo free to use?+
Yes! The core experience is completely free with no signup required. Create a room, share the code, and start estimating immediately. Pro plans unlock advanced features like AI estimation, voting timers, custom decks, password-protected rooms, and velocity analytics.
Do I need to create an account?+
No. You can start a planning poker session instantly as a guest without signing up. Creating a free account unlocks additional features like session history, velocity charts, and the ability to create organizations for your team.
What card decks are available?+
We support Fibonacci (1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21), T-shirt sizes (XS, S, M, L, XL), Powers of 2 (1, 2, 4, 8, 16), and fully custom decks (Pro) where you define your own values. You can change the deck type in room settings at any time.
How does AI-powered estimation work?+
Our AI analyzes your story title and context to suggest a story point estimate before your team votes. It serves as a starting reference point that helps reduce estimation bias. The AI suggestion is shown alongside your team's votes and never overrides the team's decision. Available on Pro plans.
Can I integrate with Jira, Linear, or GitHub?+
Yes. You can import stories directly from Jira, Linear, or GitHub into your planning poker session using the import panel. After estimation, results can be exported as CSV. Enterprise plans support two-way sync for automatic estimate updates.
How many people can join a room?+
Free rooms support up to 10 participants. Pro plans remove this limit entirely — you can have as many team members as needed in a single estimation session.
What is the voting timer?+
The voting timer sets a countdown for each estimation round to keep sessions focused and prevent endless debates. You can configure it from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. When time runs out, votes are automatically revealed. Available on Pro plans.
Is my data secure?+
Absolutely. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use Supabase with Row Level Security policies to ensure data isolation between teams. Enterprise plans include SSO (SAML/OIDC), SCIM user provisioning, and audit logs for compliance requirements.
Can I use Fibo with my remote team?+
Yes — Fibo is built for remote and distributed teams. Share the room code or invite link and your team can join from anywhere. You can also add a meeting URL (Google Meet, Zoom, Teams) that appears as a "Join call" button in the room.
